OBJECTIVES

The overall aim of Bahn Ruam Jai is to promote development from within and, thus, equip highland peoples with the skills necessary for directing their own development. Specific objectives are:

• Support and guide tribal youth in coping with rapid socio-economic changes
• Provide education and leadership opportunities
• Reinforce traditional cultures
• Foster cooperation and understanding among different cultures and societies
• Coordinate with government agencies and NGOs in helping tribal communities to raise their quality of life
